Dela Kay is a Nashville-born, Los Angeles–based alt-pop / alternative-pop artist and singer-songwriter who grew up in a musical family and began performing early in life. She spent her first creative years in musical theatre — performing professionally until she was 23 — before redirecting her focus fully to music. Over time she transitioned from dance/electropop to a more authentic alternative/alt-pop/alt-rock-leaning sound, drawing influences from bands and artists like Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Blink-182, The Maine and modern alt-pop voices such as Maggie Lindemann.
