Following graduation from Penn State with a degree in Cyber Security, Jett moved to Los Angeles and focused his first years in LA on making a living entirely from music. As traction gained, he was named among the top 25 new artists of the year by Music Connection with label offers from Epic and Sony. The well known “360” nature of these contracts resulted in Jett turning these offers down to instead assemble his own label team. Throughout this process, artists who knew Jett saw the value in building their own team to achieve common artist-driven goals without traditional label contracts, seeking to tap into Jett’s growing network of industry professionals. This undertaking resulted in Jett’s formation of PennyFly Entertainment, a by-artists-for-artists label collective with the goal of returning rights, revenues, and freedom back to artists. PennyFly has gone on to work with over 300 different artists across all major genres, winning multiple accolades including HackerNoon’s startup of the year, and repeat recognition among the “Most Fundable Companies” in the US by Pepperdine University. Acclaimed media outlet Rolling Stone has since featured Jett on numerous panel-driven articles as an industry expert. After putting his own music endeavors on hiatus to see this vision through, Jett has finally returned to his roots by releasing “Dangerously Free”and “Kneel Before the King”.
