Josh Bedford’s career began as a guitarist in the metalcore and rock scenes, where he developed a deep appreciation for music creation and performance. His passion for sound engineering led him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production from Full Sail University. Early in his career, he worked with independent artists to produce demos and EPs, fostering his belief that with the right team, artists can thrive without signing unfavorable contracts. Josh expanded his expertise by tour managing national acts, including a stint on the iconic Warped Tour, before moving to the UK to establish Mad Lad Sounds UK, a full-service artist development company. This venture was dedicated to bridging the gap between independent artists and high-quality entertainment services. Upon returning to the U.S., Josh pursued a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail, further strengthening his industry acumen. After interning at Jiant Records, Josh continued championing independent artists by collaborating with Matt Bacon’s Dropout Media, where he managed paid social media campaigns for notable clients like Rise Records and Bruna Olmeda. In 2024, he joined the Pennyfly team, where he specializes in Social Media Management, Paid Advertising, and Booking. At Pennyfly, Josh leverages his extensive experience and innovative strategies to help artists build sustainable careers. His work emphasizes aligning marketing efforts with artists’ unique visions, creating growth opportunities, and securing impactful bookings that connect talent with audiences worldwide.
